The Nocturn Industries Katana UANVB Molded is an ultralight articulating night vision binocular housing designed for users who prioritize reduced weight, durability, and simplicity. Weighing under 15 ounces fully assembled with onboard power, it is one of the lightest dual-tube housings available while maintaining the strength required for hard use.
Built from carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic, the Katana offers a high strength-to-weight ratio in a low-profile design that improves mobility and reduces bulk. Independent articulating pods allow single or dual tube operation and automatically shut off when rotated out of view, improving efficiency and battery life.
The Katana housing runs on a single CR123A battery with approximately 25 hours of runtime and includes a LEMO 2-pin port for external power. A friction lock system allows tool-free interpupillary distance adjustment that stays secure during movement.
Designed for real-world conditions, the Katana exceeds MIL-STD-810H standards, is drop tested to concrete, and meets IP68+ environmental resistance standards.
