These Nocturn Industries Chimera Panoramic Goggles are factory-built in-house by Nocturn Industries and feature our supplied M24MH7 Pinnacle 2.0 2376+ High FOM image tubes, all with zero dark spots reported on the data sheets.

We worked directly with Nocturn Industries to provide these Chimera Panos equipped with the highest grade unlimited FOM tubes on the market. These Chimera are the limited edition ruggedized magnesium housing variant, which were limited to only 150 total units worldwide. The ruggedized lightweight magnesium construction offers unmatched durability in hard use environments.

M24MH7 is the highest-tier and grade of tube available, offering leading performance in both specifications and cosmetics. The M24MH7 grade features a high 2376+ minimum FOM and has a tight maximum halo value of 0.9 and maximum EBI value of 2.0.

M24MH7 tubes were previously only available in Elbit Systems of America AN/PVS-31D for the U.S. Marine Corps SBNVG program. We worked directly with Elbit Systems of America to establish a special contract to provide these tubes in our own systems.

The M24MH7 SKU is far superior to run-of-the-mill Mil-Spec M24 tubes, which have a looser 1.0 maximum halo and 2.5 maximum EBI, with many spots allowed. Pinnacle 2.0 represents Elbit Systems of America’s strictest spot-specification tolerance and adherence. This means the M24MH7 SKU has significantly cleaner screen cosmetics than other tube types, such as XLSH, SLH, YH, VH, MH, M, etc.

The Ultralight Articulating Panoramic Night Vision Goggle (U.A.P.N.V.G.), known as the “Chimera,”represents the next evolution in panoramic night vision goggle systems. It is the first articulating quad-tube device, combining advanced panoramic performance with a compact, ergonomic design.

This patented system achieves the lowest possible profile by allowing the optical pods to stow rearward toward the helmet, creating a profile comparable to articulating binoculars. This design reduces neck fatigue by shifting the center of gravity closer to the natural pivot point of the neck, improving balance and comfort during extended use.

Each Chimera pod can be stowed independentlywithout fully folding the device, enabling users to clear doorways, improve head clearance in vehicles, maintain rapid access to night vision functionality, move efficiently through confined spaces, reduce snag hazards in brush, and operate weapon-mounted optics or thermal devices simultaneously.

In addition to the stand-alone device, the Chimera system offers a bridge variant, U.A.P.N.V.G.-B “Chimera Bridge,” that is fully plug-and-play at the user level, providing seamless compatibility with existing panoramic NVG pods. The Chimera Bridge supports L3 GPNVG-18 and ANVIS-10 systems.
