This Katana is equipped with MBS ULR lightweight lenses and aviation grade L3 M890S tubes sourced from ASU refurbished ANVIS-9 Aviator goggles. No data sheets are provided. Specifications are estimated to be 2000+ FOM in comparison to other tubes back to back on the Hoffman ANV-126A. The tubes cleanly resolve group 6 element 1 on the Hoffman ANV-126A, which is 64 lp/mm.

The Nocturn Industries Katana Gen 3 Molded (Ultralight Articulating Night Vision Binocular dubbed UANVB “Katana”) remains the lightest binocular on the market, with on board power, weighing in less than 15 oz fully built. The articulating design allows for individual pod shut off, enabling the user to use one or both eyes while utilizing non-passive aiming systems. End users will be able to mount and dismount vehicles easier with the low profile of the UANVB when stowed. The UANVB features the original Friction Lock Interpupillary Adjustment feature so you can set it and forget it with no additional tools. This unit may be lightweight but does not compromise strength as it exceeds MIL-STD-810G and had been drop tested beyond NATO or TOP standards (6 feet to concrete in 6 different orientations on a single device).
