These Nocturn Industries Katana-M are equipped with Elbit M24MH7 Pinnacle 2.0 2376+ FOM White Phosphor image intensifier tubes and Fujinon lenses. M24MH7 tubes were previously only available in Elbit Systems of America factory-built AN/PVS-31D systems for the U.S. Marine Corps SBNVG program. We worked directly with Elbit Systems of America to establish a special contract to provide these tubes in our own systems. Pinnacle 2.0 represents Elbit Systems of America's strictest spot-specification tolerance and tube specification adherence. M24MH7 is the highest-tier Elbit tube grade available, offering exceptional performance in both specifications and cosmetics. The M24MH7 grade features a maximum halo value of 0.9, a maximum EBI value of 2.0, and a minimum FOM of 2376+, delivering exceptional image quality and performance in demanding lighting conditions.
The Nocturn Industries Katana features independent pod on/off when articulated, an auxiliary power port for remote battery pack use, and an extremely strong yet lightweight reinforced polymer construction backed by a lifetime housing warranty.

The Nocturn Industries Katana Gen 3 Molded (Ultralight Articulating Night Vision Binocular dubbed UANVB “Katana”) remains the lightest binocular on the market, with on board power, weighing in less than 15 oz fully built. The articulating design allows for individual pod shut off, enabling the user to use one or both eyes while utilizing non-passive aiming systems. End users will be able to mount and dismount vehicles easier with the low profile of the UANVB when stowed. The UANVB features the original Friction Lock Interpupillary Adjustment feature so you can set it and forget it with no additional tools. This unit may be lightweight but does not compromise strength as it exceeds MIL-STD-810G and had been drop tested beyond NATO or TOP standards (6 feet to concrete in 6 different orientations on a single device).
