The PVS-14 Demist Shield is a protective accessory that snaps into the ocular lens eyecup ring of PVS-14 pattern optics. The PVS-14 Demist Shield provides a barrier preventing condensation from forming on the optics during rapid temperature changes. The Demist Shield can also be used as a protective barrier against scratches for transport or other use.
These are also great for the astronomy hobbyist in snapping into the telescope eyepiece preventing or reducing the probability of external fogging. If fog still accumulates you can safely wipe it away without harming your telescope eyepiece.
*We don’t advise installing these on objective lenses. It is common for these to have smaller imperfections as these are designed to be a sacrificial throw away item
