These Nocturn Industries Katana are equipped with Elbit M24MH7 Pinnacle 2.0 2376+ FOM White Phosphor image intensifier tubesand Fujinon lenses.
M24MH7 tubes were previously only available in Elbit Systems of America AN/PVS-31D for the U.S. Marine Corps SBNVG program. We worked directly with Elbit Systems of America to establish a special contract to provide these tubes in our own systems.
M24MH7 is the highest-tier and grade of tube available, offering leading performance in both specifications and cosmetics. The M24MH7 grade has a tight maximum halo value of 0.9 and maximum EBI value of 2.0.
The M24MH7 SKU is far superior to run-of-the-mill Mil-Spec M24 tubes, which have a 1.0 maximum halo and 2.5 maximum EBI, with many spots allowed. Pinnacle 2.0 represents Elbit Systems of America’s strictest spot-specification tolerance and adherence. This means the M24MH7 SKU has significantly cleaner screen cosmetics than other tube types, such as XLSH, SLH, YH, VH, MH, M, etc.

The Nocturn Industries Katana Molded is the newest and best version of the Katana to date! The Nocturn Industries Katana Gen 3 Molded (Ultralight Articulating Night Vision Binocular dubbed UANVB “Katana”) remains the lightest binocular on the market, with on board power, weighing in less than 15 oz fully built. The articulating design allows for individual pod shut off, enabling the user to use one or both eyes while utilizing non-passive aiming systems. End users will be able to mount and dismount vehicles easier with the low profile of the UANVB when stowed. The UANVB features the original Friction Lock Interpupillary Adjustment feature so you can set it and forget it with no additional tools. This unit may be lightweight but does not compromise strength as it exceeds MIL-STD-810G and had been drop tested beyond NATO or TOP standards (6 feet to concrete in 6 different orientations on a single device).
